  • Ducklings

    Ages 6months-3yrs

    Parents are taught techniques and holds to help acclimate your child to the water. The skills taught are blowing bubbles, floats, kicks, entering and exiting the water.The skills taught are blowing bubbles, floats, kicks, entering and exiting the water.

  • Guppies

    Ages 3-5

    For beginner swimmers who cannot go under the water. We work on gradual water adaptation, movement in the water, breath holding and release, submersions of the face, opening eyes underwater, blowing bubbles, bobbing with bubbles, and air exchange. Swimmers will gain confidence and master submerging their face in the water.

  • Minnows

    Ages 3-5

    The Minnows class is appropriate for swimmers who are comfortable holding their breath under the water and doing ten relaxed bobs with air exchange. Swimmers will be taught to front float and recover, front glide and recover, back float and recover, and back glide and recover. Students will learn to jump in the water, rollover, and float as a safety-skill.

  • Dolphins

    Ages 3-5

    The Dolphins class is appropriate for swimmers that can front & back float, and front & back glide with no assistance. Swimmers will be taught front & back flutter kick & dolphin kick, while refining kicking skills with front and back glides. As well as breath control and side beathing techniques.

  • Level 1

    Ages 6-13

    This class is for somewhat nervous students or very beginners. This class includes an introduction to the basic skills necessary for swimming. We work on gradual water adaptation, movement in the water, breath holding and release, submersion of the face, opening eyes underwater, blowing bubbles, bobbing with bubbles, and air exchange.

  • Level 2

    Ages 6-13

    This class is appropriate for swimmers who are comfortable holding their breath under the water and doing ten relaxed bobs with air exchange. Swimmers will be taught to front float and recover, front glide, and recover, back float and recover, and back glide and recover.

  • Level 3

    Ages 6-13

    This class is appropriate for swimmers that know how to comfortably hold their breath, front & back float, front & back glide with no assistance. Swimmers will be taught front & back flutter kick & dolphin kick while refining kicking skills with front and back glides. As well as breath control and side beathing techniques.

  • Level 4

    Ages 6-13

    This class is appropriate for swimmers who have mastered breath control, body position, and kicking on their front and back. Swimmers will be taught to roll over front to back and back to front, fining and sculling, breathing position for freestyle, and the crawl arm stroke. They will be practicing different swim techniques through drills, such as “Catch-up Freestyle Drill”, “Ten Kick Switch”, “Shark Fin”, “1 Pull, 2 Breath, and 3 Pull”. These drills will help your swimmer learn to swim efficiently and correctly.

  • Level 5

    Ages 6-13

    The Level 5 class is appropriate for swimmers who can swim on top of the water, but who stop when they need to take a breath. Swimmers will have the opportunity to refine their technique in crawl stroke and freestyle, taking their skills to the next level. They will also delve into the art of diving, mastering the form and precision required for a smooth entry into the water. This class is designed to challenge experienced swimmers and help them achieve their full potential in the water. As swimmers progress through this level, they will focus on enhancing their endurance, speed, and efficiency in the water.

  • Please fill out the attached form, and we can get you set up with one of our instructors for private one-on-one lessons.

  • Yes! The MAC Trust provides scholarships for in-district patrons. Please fill out the Scholarship Application and return to info@macrecdistrict.com.

  • Patrons may cancel their participation in a program at any time and are encouraged to provide as much notice as possible. All refunds will be assessed a 6% ActiveNet processing fee. Patron account credits will not be charged this fee.

    Credits, transfers and refunds will be granted as follows:

    Pre-registration required activities:

    • 100% refund, transfer or account credit with 15 days' or more notice before activity registration closes

    • 50% refund, transfer or account credit with 7-14 days' notice before activity registration closes

    • No refund, transfer or credit with 6 days or less before activity registration closes.

    Drop-in activities:

    • 100% refund, transfer or account credit prior to the start of the activity

    • No refund, transfer or credit after activity has started

    The executive director and/or their designee has the authority to grant exceptions to these guidelines on an as-needed, situational basis.
