In-District:

The MACRD is a special taxing district with established boundaries where residents have voted to pay taxes to support district operations. Our district boundaries generally mirror the 509J school district, including Madras, Metolius, and Warm Springs. There are other limited areas in Jefferson County that are also in-district; if you are unsure of your status, give us call and we can help.

Out-of-District

Patrons who live outside of the MAC Recreation District boundary pay a 20% out-of-district fee.

Types of Memberships

  • Monthly memberships are available for purchase throughout the month. Members must cancel their monthly membership by the 20th to avoid being charged automatically for the upcoming month.

    Adult:
    $33 (in-district) / $38 (out-of-district)

    Youth:
    $16 (in-district) / $20 (out-of-district)

    Senior (60+) / Veteran:
    $28 (in-district) / $33 (out-of-district)

    *Youth memberships are only available with adult membership (ages 3-12)

  • Annual memberships are available for purchase year-round, and are effective for 365 days after purchase.

Information about Memberships

Members have access to all MACRD drop-in recreation activities. This includes open swim, lap swim, family swim, open gym sports (basketball, pickle-ball), and fitness classes as well as free entry for children under 3 years old.

FAQs

  • All patrons who enter the natatorium will be charged the drop-in rate whether they swim or stay dry. Our #1 priority is patron safety, and we maintain a 1:40 lifeguard to patron ratio (OR 333-060-0207) and all bodies in the natatorium count toward that number.

  • Yes, all youth under the age of 5 receive a 50% discount. Babies count toward the 1:40 lifeguard to patron ratio.

    Patrons with a MACRD membership receive free entry for children under 3 years old.

  • It is not required, but recommend making reservations for open swims due to the high popularity. There are spots open for walk ins, but we cannot guarantee entry when we reach maximum capacity (based on lifeguard to patron ratios).

  • Patrons may cancel their participation in a program at any time and are encouraged to provide as much notice as possible. All refunds will be assessed a 6% ActiveNet processing fee. Patron account credits will not be charged this fee.

    Credits, transfers and refunds will be granted as follows:

    Pre-registration required activities:

    • 100% refund, transfer or account credit with 15 days' or more notice before activity registration closes

    • 50% refund, transfer or account credit with 7-14 days' notice before activity registration closes

    • No refund, transfer or credit with 6 days or less before activity registration closes.

    Drop-in activities:

    • 100% refund, transfer or account credit prior to the start of the activity

    • No refund, transfer or credit after activity has started

    The executive director and/or their designee has the authority to grant exceptions to these guidelines on an as-needed, situational basis.
